Yolda.com İstanbul Offices
2022, İstanbul, Türkiye

Completed in less than 40 days, olda.com’s new offices mark Studio Pines’ first major office design and build project. Designed for a rapidly growing start-up, the space responds to Yolda.com’s expanding operational needs.
Built within very tight budget constraints, the project achieved to provide a fine spatial quality while staying within affordable costs. In order to overcome the budget limitations, some existing office furniture were transported to the new HQ instead of replacing them with brand new ones.

The aim of the project was to introduce flexibility to the workspace which had always been a missing element in the previous office.
Therefore, we defined a social area near the office entrance, connected to the kitchen. This area was designed to allow for different usage scenarios.

Linear desks were placed in the corners of the social area, and a curtain was installed in the space defined by these desks. This acoustic curtain insulated the area, allowing it to be transformed from a workspace into a seminar and entertainment area.

Three departmental workspace clusters are acoustically separated by glass partitions while maintaining visual continuity.
The workspaces were divided into three groups according to departments and a meeting point to serve each department. While the spaces were audibly separated by glass partitions, visual communication was maintained.

The workspace layout prioritizes natural light through a clear facade-to-core organization.
The spatial organization of the workspaces was designed to make the best use of natural light. Work desks were placed near the facade, meeting areas in the middle, and circulation areas at the innermost point. Meeting rooms and online meeting rooms were also added to meet the office’s meeting needs.
